Fast Forward

What happens when you start to view a recording about 5 minutes behind LiveTV and you Fast Forward commercials and catch up?

Reason I ask is that I find that with the MVP it brings me back to the beginning of the recording?

I would expect once you catch up with live tv the FF button would do nothing?

It should just catch up to 'real time' and stop forwarding. It sounds like maybe it is an issue with the MVP.

Are you using Matt's MVP Sage client or using Happauge's MVP software viewing a show that Sage has recorded to the PC's Hard Drive?

I use Matt's MVP Client, and regularly (every night watching the 11pm news) skip and catch up to live TV. The MVP Sage client will then not skip any further ( I would pay big for that feature ). It does not restart to the beginning.

Yeah I am using Matt's client. How is it that you can do this, what version of the client do you have?

That is how Matt's client works for me too. Always has, with every version. It should FFWD up to 'live tv', and then not let you FFWD any more.
