question about over/under scan
I've been using sage for 2 years now and I have it rock solid. I have 293 days of uptime and virtually no problems with it. One thing I've always wondered about was the overscan settings. I understand this allows me to fit the menu onto my screen and that works fine. I output to my 64" Toshiba via an ATI Component dongle and the quality is very good. But what about an underscan setting? My video source is just a little bit too big, so I lose things like scrolling text (CNN) at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to adjust the video source to fit the screen? Without running it through something like ffdshow?

Man - SageTV just rocks. That was exactly what I needed to get my video just barely overscanned on my TV. Thanks Stranger.

Hi,
I have an nforce based MB and a 6600gt going to EdTV w/component out(32" tv). I have it set to 480i in nvidea video properties; how can I get the Windows desktop to "shrink down" to fit on tv screen? It runs off the edges and is hard to work with when I need to make adjustments, etc. Or, will this affect the resolution for Sage videos if I make any changes for the Windows desktop? Thanks for any help. Randy
