Lightbulb New Nvidia drivers 71.89

Anyone using the new Forceware 71.89 yet? Any changes or improvements?

I saw this in the release notes:

I wonder if the HDTV-Over-DVI stuff works with older cards, like my 5900? Would be nice if it had a bit better support..

71.89 is a good driver. even overlay looks pretty darn good. straight dvi to my tv works very well now.

i have a couple of other small issues but that is mostly because my pc really needs to be reloaded.

I've not bothered looking at overlay in such a long time now - I should probably check it out again.

could someone remind me - what are the advantages/disadvantages of VMR over overlay (in a nutshell)

I'm using SageMC by the way (this only uses windowed mode) if that has any relevance.
