New Router = New studdering

I have been using sage for several since nearly its beginning and have never had any studdering problem until now. I just recently changed routers (to add wireless) and have picked up a small but anoying problem with video hesitation/studdering. Note that the Clients in questions are still on wired lan connections and the new router is the only change that I have made. Any suggestions as to the cause of and solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

You said that the client is still wired, is the server wired or wireless? If the server is wireless, maybe check the signal strength and try using wired to test, assuming you left the wired nic in there. Also is the router A, B or G?

I had a problem recently where I hosed the routing table on my file server. As a result, all traffic to/from the file server was being routed through my 10Mbps DSL router.

It is possible that you have introduced something that is causing less-than-optimal routes between your clients and server. Make sure that the clients have a direct path to the server (and vice versa) that does not involve your new equipment.
