Actisys Ir200l and Cable Box problems
I can't get this thing to work with my Scientific Atlanta 4200HD box and my Happ 250 -silver remote. I've been through all the setup procedures. When I test each # on the test page in Sage it just doesn't work. I teach the number with cable remote and the Sage screen will change to test it but it doesn't work. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

Try using a different method for teaching the IR-200L your Cable remote codes. Sometimes you have to do a "tap-tap", instead of one long press or try a "tap-press" or vice-versa.

Try using the RCADC blah blah blah cable box for your selection. I used that with my Sci Atlanta and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Tried them both last night and still zippo. Maybe I am doing this completely wrong. So let me describe what I think I am suppossed to be doing. I get to the point where Sage asks if I'm using the IR 200L. I say yes, pick my com port and cable box and move to the test screen. At this point a list comes up with "Test 0", below that it has "reprogram 0", same for "1" ect...thru "9". I point the Happ. remote (silver) at the Happ. reciever which is connected to my Comm. 1 and press "0" to test. Nothing happens to the cable channel. I then move down and select the program remote option. At this point the screen comes up and says "point cable remote at IR transmitter and hold" (not verbatum but you know what I mean). After doing this, the page switches as if it has recognized the signal and I move back to the test. Again I test and nothing happens. Any more thoughts? Thanks for reading this and offering up ideas.

Hmmm, don't test with the Haup remote. Use your mouse and click the Test button with your cursor. If correctly configured, you will see the channels change. After you set all the channels up and see them changing via mouse clicks, finish setup and put Sage in sleep. Then wake it up and test the remote.

Also, don't reprogram using the Haup remote. You point the cable box remote at the Actisys. Obviously this will change the channel on your box, so channel up or down using your box remote and then mouse click on the number you just programmed. You should see the box change channels for you.

Been pointing cable remote at actysis to reprogram. Tried just clicking as well. Probabley go the uninstall, reinstall route. When all else fails, start anew! I hate Tivo, picture quality, noise and annoying menus. However, the IR blaster did change my cable channels! Thanks Mojo and Dan, I appreciate your taking the time.

Just to be sure, did you install any of the software that came with the Actisys? If so, uninstall whatever you installed.
