Any way to tweak image sizes?

I know you can change the format from lets say 4:3 and 16:9 but is there anyway to tweak the actual image size?

The reason I ask is that the menus and some of the image ride off of my screen and I would like shrink it down.

This may have more to do with the hardware than the software, but was wondering if there was something in the properties file that can be messed with?

I think you are looking for Detailed Setup -> Multimedia -> Overscan. (See the details starting on p. 134 in the v2.2 manual.) It is a 2-step process to set the positions of the upper left & lower right corners of the UI.

Opus4,

This changes the images size and posistion. I probably should have phrased better what I needed. The menu does not fit in the screen. I can adjust the overscan posistion in detailed setup but no matter where I posisistion it, something is always cut off the screen.

The actual image is okay, it is the menu that was trying to reposistion. I thought if I reposistioned the output the menu would go with it, but it does not.

Thanks

Yes, what Opus said is exactly what you want. The Overscan settings, it sounds like you're changing the Aspect Ratio settings. They are different.

Never mind... I was in the aspect ratio settings. I got it adjusted.

Thanks Andy!

Yes, that exact part starts on p. 136, but the whole section explaining aspect ratio, overscan, & so on starts a couple pages earlier. Anyway, glad you got it fixed now, especially since I wasn't entirely certain I understood the question correctly in the first place.
