How would you set this up?
Okay, I have two computers setup right now. One is the server and one is a client. The client is getting used a lot and can bog down the network at times and makes online gameplaying not too good.
The PCs: -=1=- P4 3.2 1.5 Ram 2 PVR 150s Geforce 6800 160 SATA Hard Drive -=2=- 2.4 Northwood Celeron 1G Ram No TV Tuner Geforce 6600 GT 300 PATA Hard Drive #2 Computer is currently in the living room and gets used as a client for tv viewing. #1 is used for viewing television in my room and also has my storage of divx movies, pictures, music, etc. Would it be best to keep it the way it is now with the client/server setup? Or would it work good to put one tv tuner in each computer and use them separately, but share both hard drives so they can share resources? |

Client/server is definitely the way to go, separating them would only cause more agrivation since you'd have separate favorites and histories on both.
What's your network, the client shouldn't be bogging anything down. |
