PLayback is very dark... how to adjust?

I've recorded some TV shows using DVD Extra Long Play using my Hauppauge 150 card. When I play them back on my PC they are very dark and hard to see the picture. Is there some adjustment in Sage to sit ethe brightness somehow?

THanks.

You'll want to calibrate the color for your capture card. The manual covers this on p. 120.

You also want to check different channels. We had a local station with a bad transmitter for 3 months, that all of my recordings were almost too dark to watch yet to view live was OK. And VCR recordings were OK too. Something about the Hauppauge cards and what ever was wrong with the station, I guess. After their transmitter finally quit and was repaired, that signal when recorded was just like every other channel.

Yeah, the brightness and quality varies greatly from channel to channel for me. You just have to find a setting that makes you happy.
