If you haven't yet done so, try going to Detailed Setup -> Video and change the Decoder Filter. (Or do it for Audio, if it says it is an audio problem.) Also, SageTV's tech support may have more info on the error.

I ran into this after installing WinTV from the Hauppauge CD along with SageTV Recorder (though I do not think the recorder was the problem). I tweaked on the decoder, overlay vs VMR9, nothing I did got it working. I finally gave up and uninstalled WinTV, Recorder and finally Sage. I then installed Sage back, and all was well. Sorry I dont have more info cept after installing WinTV it couldn't seem to select a different format other than the two PAL ones. I also had a strange fast shifting colors at the bottom part of the screen. This problem was only with WinTV orginally, then bleed over to SageTV later, if I could get a picture at all w/o the error.

I am running a 6600, DirectX 9.0c, the latest nVidia drivers (71.89_win2kxp_english.exe), WinXP SP2.

Hope that helps,
RedR
