Video on Monitor but blank on TV-Out

I'm a newbie here and need help....search through the forum but with no luck.

my sage is running well until i hooked it up to the s video of my crt tv. Everything is fine on the UI but when i try to play live TV of imported video, it is blank on the tv (the GUI ok) but everything seems to be ok on the monitor.

i try with Power DVD and the same thing happen.....further check with Power Cinema and it seems ok!!??? what's the reson behind that?

BTW, i'm using radeon 7000 gfx card.

Try altering the Windows display settings to make the TV-Out the primary monitor... (video playback often does not work well on secondary monitors)

Just wondering, why it is ok when i tried with Power Cinema?

It could be using the VMR9 video renderer (which sometimes works on secondary monitors, but often not as well as on primary)

If you are seeing the UI on both the monitor & TV at the same time, it sounds like you are using something like clone mode (or whatever ATI calls it), where whatever is on the primary monitor is duplicated on the 2nd monitor (TV). I don't think the overlay video will be cloned, but VMR9 probably will be, so that could be another reason -- try setting them up as 2 monitors instead. Perhaps also see this post for similar comments.
