Java Null Pointer Exception in 1.3.8

After uninstalling 1.4.5 and reinstalling 1.3.8, I get a Java exception while the prog is starting up. The splash screen says "Priming Seeker" when it pops up.

Attached is the java log file.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 1.3.8, but I get the same results...

Help?

Had the same problem. It seems that the properties file is not backward compatible. There was a mention of this in the beta area

I found the advice to remove the mmc/ignore_encoders= line, and removed it, but I am still getting the java exception.

So sad.

Any other suggestions?

Try removing the Sage.properties file altogether. Then go back through the SetupWizard and Detailed Setup.

Thanks, Narflex. I will try that as a side effect of refotmatting the hard drive and installing the OS from scratch. I expect it to work nicely.

(It was an... eventful weekend. Did you say you have an epia M9000? What case? What HD? How are you dealing with heat?)
