Arrow STV Imports: Imports for V3 Updated 20/Aug/2005

Just a quick note to say that several of my imports for 2.2 are known not work to very well with the V3 STV, so here are v3 specific versions:

The main differences (unless otherwise indicated) are that the Detailed Setup item will be added to the bottom of the scrollable Customize panel (instead of a new Enhancements panel).

Unless otherwise indicated, the links are to the updated download -- See the original versions for install/usage instructions, and also see the General Module Installation Instructions

Official V4 versions:
Obsolete items
  • Include Archived Recordings -- obsolete -- use the filtering options in SageTV3's Sage Recordings screen.
  • Malore's custom Guide menus -- obsolete, now included in SageTV3 stv

IMPORTANT: you cannot import into the default STV file : you have to manually copy it to a new file, and unset the read-only flag.

IMPORTANT: Any bugs that you think are in Sage (as opposed to being in these modules) should be re-tested in the original, as-delivered SageTV3.STV before submitting a bug report (-- it is always possible that a module messes something up!)

IMPORTANT: After each new beta release of Sage, you should re-import any modules into the new STV (otherwise you would be using an old, possibly buggy STV).

PS: I am sure that Sage would also prefer that you beta test the V3 in it's original format!

Congrats

Congratulations
The expectation must be the first [version 1] considering all the time you’ve contributed to SageTV in the past.

Congrats on the soon-to-be newborn. Hope everything goes well. I've got a 2.5 year old daughter, and a 3 month old daughter! I book on being a big sister was a real life-saver. She loves talking about being a big sister.

Can someone please make Salsblst Weather Suite as a plug-in?

This is the thing my wife and I use all the time and would rather stay at v2.2 than lose it!

BTW, Neil, does your Webserver work OK?

Thanks!

At the risk of adding more non-topic posts...
Gratz Nielm. What you do for sage (as well as the other developers) is much appreciated. Will test this stuff out when I get home. Work has me flying out during the week and didn't see beta before I left.

Well, I discovered an issue or two with some of the imports.

In the Malore's Custom Guide stuff, when I pull up Guide 3, if I then try and pull up the "Group By" menu item, it does not show anything I can select. If I press select, it groups them by language.

In the multi-speed FF/RW, the buttons it uses for the rewind/fast forward are the |<< and >>| (these are the ones normally used to skip forward and back on most remotes I've seen), not the << and >> (which are the buttons that normally indicate a rewind and fast forward). Is there a way to configure it differently?
