bugs...
Ok... we'll start with this...
I didn't want to install 3.0 on my primary sage box so I decided "hey, lets test this out on my main machine I use for gaming, etc. since we've got software encoders supported now." I have an ATI TV Wonder USB2.0. The machine specs are Athlon64 FX-57 2 Gig DDR Ram Geforce 6800GTOC 1.5TB drive space Extraneous non essential stuff... Upon installing the tuner drivers which I hadn't gotten around to installing since the last wipe, I tested the tuner with the ATI tuner software and it worked fine. Load up sage. It sees it fine. Lets set it up. Oops. It only shows composite and svideo inputs. I'm not using either of those. I'm using the tv tuner coax input. Sage will not allow me to use that at all. Sound input... it only lists my SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum for input. I'm not using that. I'm using coax input on the tuner which requires no sound inputs... So basically setting that up in sage was a big fat zero there. I noted one other small error/bug whilst setting it up. When I went to enter my zipcode for tv listings I used the keyboard. I entered 61564 and hit the enter key. The enter key should (in my mind) either continue, or do nothing. It, instead, produced a 1. So my entry then looked like 615641. Not a big one, but still a bug in my book. So far that's all I have to share as I can't get my tuner set up thus far. And it's 3:45am. So. Toodles til tomorrow. |

Sounds like it might be a common bug that hopefully will be an easy fix for em.

Worked well for Hauppauge 250 and 2 Plextor 402Us.
Only problem was repeated "auto shutdown" of SageTV software- specially during DivX recorded shows playback. CPU usage was not more than 60%. MPEG4 timeshifting was set to false- but only recorded shows were watched. The back step during set up/ configuration somehow goes back to the beginning of the setup process and not the previous step...... |
