yes Sage MC, but that shouldn't matter if I install everything fresh right? I installed Windows XP SP2 with all the updtes and drivers for my hardware. Then Installed SageTV 2.2.8 I didn't get a chance to re install the .stv because Sage was blown from the get go.

delete the drivers to your capture card (and the device from device manager)... reboot and let windows find the hardware again... reinstall the drivers at that point. It'll probably fix you right up. If it's a hauppauge they are a bit picky.

I think legolas is saying the entire SageTV interface is black, so I don't think it would be a capture card problem.
My comment about reinstalling a custom .STV would only apply if after installing SageTV you used your old sage.properties and wiz.bin files. It probably won't help, but you could try moving/deleting all the sage.properties and wiz.bin files and backups (in the SageTV program folder), so sageTV is forced to create new ones. Of course, keep copies safely somewhere else, of anything that contains your show data and settings. Last edited by malore; 07-27-2005 at 01:54 PM. |

Did you do a format of your HD before installing XP, or did you install XP (and SageTV) over an excisting version?
