Sabrent SBT-TVFM problems

Has anyone out there setup SageTV to work with a Sabrent SBT-TVFM card? It uses the Phillips SAA713* chipset. I can get through the standard setup, and see all of my cable channels in the channel setup, but when trying to view LiveTV it locks up. I've installed the latest video card drivers, the latest Java and TV card drivers.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What version Sage are you trying to setup? If trial version of current v2.x release I'm 99.99% certain that card isn't supported. Did you check the system requirements which lists supported tuners? http://sage.tv/requirements.html?sageSub=tv

The v3beta "might" work since it's supporting some software encoding tuners...

I'm using the trial 2.x version. I did check the supported cards, but it isn't shown. The card that I've got isn't a name brand, but an off brand. The listed brand name cards don't say what their chipset is so I was hoping that this one might be one of the cards that "might also work".

I would love to try out the version 3 beta software, but the problem I've run into with it is that you have to have already been issued a serial number for an older version to use it. I know this because of trying to set it up last night. I guess this is what I get for trying use a bargain basement off-brand TV card from a local mom and pop computer store!
