Having an issue

I recently purchased the AVerTV PVR 150 Plus and installed it on XP, even though it was designed for MCE. Besides that, it does seem to be working fine, and i have the updated drivers for it. Unfortunately, it didnt come with any kind of application, or an MPEG 2 decoder (Im not sure if I have one of those or not, and more frankly, i honestly dont know what that is). So i checked out the software that supported it and found SageTV, so i got it. I have it set on NTSC, which is what the card calls for. Im running a simple cable into it for cable tv, but for some reason it has yet to work. I keep getting this error:

Im very new to this so any help would be great.

Don't know if that will help you or not but it was the closest match for the problem you are having that I could find.

Hmm, that may have confused me even more. Im beginning to think there might be some kinda hardware issue. I checked SageTV's compatible TV Tuners and it doesnt list the one i have, but when i checked the compatibillity of software for the AVerMedia card, it listed SageTV as one. Heres a link to what i have:

Owning a Avermedia tuner myself, I got curious about this one.
I'd take it back and get a Avermedia M150 from newegg instead - if it has to be something from Avermedia or cheap.

Wow. I took a look at that card and it is just about the exact same as mine, and comes with the same stuff.

Did you have to do anything "special" to get it to work right or was it all smooth and steady from the start?

In my old server (>5 years old) it demand would the first PCI slot, besides that - no problems. Took only a few minutes to move everything to the new server.

Let us know, if it doesn't come with drivers. Tried to attach them, but the zip exceeds the PHP limits for attachments.
