Strange Effect

I notice that when I pass my mouse cursor over any of the icons in my Task Bar, the video in SageTV becomes distorted until I move the cursor off the icon. I only mention this because since I did new XP install, I'm getting periodic errors with SageTV freezing with an error in jvm.dll. I've tried uninstalling Java and SageTV completely and reinstalling, but nothing has helped so far...
