Not to record, but the question I've had, that hasn't been answered, is can you record with a Fusion using Sage and playback with a MyHD? Clearly you can do that with a Fusion without Sage, but does Sage somehow change the file format?

If you use Sage *through* the MyHD passthrough, then you won't be using any of the MyHD decoding/rendering hardware, so doing so wouldn't really serve any direct purpose.

On the other hand, if your goal is to play back Fusion-recorded TS file using the MyHD app: I think the MyHD is supposed to be able to play back any TS or MPEG2 file, but there may be incompatibilities in formats.

It's the latter, I want to playback Sage TS files created by the Fusion using the MyHD card.

I haven't seen the minimum playback specs for a computer using Sage playing back an HD program, but I'm fairly confident my computer won't meet them. Further, I'm really happy with the color calibration I have on the MyHD card (which is the reason I'm no longer considering the now cheap HD Tivos).

AverMedia and QAM support

By the way, I sent a note off to AverMedia to ask about plans for supporting QAM. The response I got back:

"Sorry, there are no plans for the A180 tuner card to support QAM at all in the
future."

Looks like I'm stuck with an antenna.

I can confirm that the .ts files produced by Fusion 5 lite will not play outside of SageTV 3.0 My old HiPix .ts files play fine using Windows Media Player. WMP on my machine is using the system default filtergraph (using latest Nvidia decoder).

I'm still waiting to use my second Fusion 5 Lite card in SageTV 3. It's just sitting there doing nothing. If I try to use it, boom! My machine blue screens

I'm developing a pretty decent conspiracy theory on this. Naturally Microsoft is at the center of this theory.
