Change all the mmc/encoders/12345 lines to another number like

mmc/encoders/12346

Also mmc/encoders/12345/video_capture_device_name=MTSageTV Card 1 to
mmc/encoders/12345/video_capture_device_name=MTSageTV Card 2

Also the port has to match the one in MTSage setup

mmc/encoders/12345/encoding_host=127.0.0.1\:6969

There are some other instruction in the PDF for setting up MT with 2 cards using the /CARD switch.

3. Multi-Card Support
Like MyTheatre, the plugin provides support for the use of multiple DVB Cards within the one
machine. To facilitate this, each card has it's own unique plugin ini file to match the relevant
MyTheatre CARDn profile.
By default, the first instance of MyTheatre & the plugin uses Card1.ini, the second Card2,.ini up to
Card9.ini ( which is the maximum number supported by MyTheatre ). Log files generated by the
plugin will incorporate the card in use in their name ie Card1.log, Card1_Indy.log, Card2.log,
Card2_indy,log, etc.

just adding to what technazz said...

You can do it 2 ways:

make a copy of my mytheatre folder and launch 1 card from each.

you can run both from the same mytheatre instance, but some plugins have issues with this time to time. if you did that, you would setup your first and second card in the setup section and launch them via a batch file or something with the following commands:

MTStart.exe /card1
MTStart.exe /card2

I recommend that you try seperate instances though. Less problematic in my experience.

You will still need to follow the pdf as stated to setup the plugin portion for the multi-tuner support and create 2 seperate network encoder command line sets to add to your sage.properties, etc...

did that confuse you enough?

I.

still no luck with the radio channels?

Is it possible to create a Radio section in sageTV that will only check for mpeg2 or mpeg1 file with sound only?

Is it possible to create a plugin in mytheatre that will display a background picture or logo while switching to radio stations?

Regards,

Cortechs.

This has come up a number of times. I am sure its possible, but unfortunately no one with any programming knowledge has asked this question yet, just non-programmers like me and you =)

Peter has posted the source, so it's not blocked by him.

Doesn't seem to be a plugin problem but something with mytheatre not creating a video file or Sagetv no willing to play none video source.

I will try to ask on the mytheatre forum if they can change the way the radio file are handled (sound + dumb video).

Regards,

Cortechs.

It can be handled that way... or it has to come from a core change to SageTV (this is the preferred method) as the current "supported" DVB implemention within sage also has no radio channels because it will not see anything without a video source.

I submitted a bug report to the developers, and supposedly someone was looking into it, but I suggest you do the same to get some attention on the subject if you want a resolution. Make sure its clear that the bug exists in supported DVB implementations as well though, because the Mytheatre plugin is not supported, but fixing the core defeciency of not accepting streams with no video... would have the positive side effect of solving this issue for those of us with Mytheatre.

Hi John, good to see you here

This is a bit of a rough and ready overview but should get you going.

To set up the xmltv epg data you need to follow these steps:

1) Get your xmltv data using this radio times xmltv grabber:

http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/

You need to set it up so it grabs all of the channels you need. This will give you an xml file with all your epg info. You would need to do this with any PVR software you set up in the UK if you want 2 weeks worth of decent data.

2) You then need to set up an importer to get this data into sage. I use Stephane's:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17566

There are a few others kncoking around but this one has the advantage of keeping a database of all programs so it can correctly mark programs as re-runs.

Once you have an xmltv importer set up then when it asks you for a zip code you enter 00000 and then it will show you whatever channel lineups you have set up in the importer.

Hope this gets you going. If you're still stuck, post in the UK section of this forum (save cluttering up this thread) and we'll help you out.

Wow, I can't believe I just got this working.... took me 5 minutes and I was golden.

CRAZY.

Awesome work guys, here's hoping Sage decides to support MDAPI so it can natively support some other plugins like MediaPortal can now

I'd recommend putting in a feature request for this, I know I did.

Will do.

One quetion for you Sage 6.0 users...

The value: videoframe/network_encoding_to_playback_delay doesn't seem to exist in the Sage 6.0 prefs... is it ok to add it? Does it still work? Or is there a different variable to edit now?

Cheers,

I have it in my sage.properties - i don't recall ever setting it manually and it is currently set to 1500. Will editing this improve channel changing times?

MyTheatre Crashes Using this Plugin

I get the following error on starting up MyTheatre:
Error: Access violation at 0x77E996E1 (tried to write to 0x00030FFC), program terminated.

Running MyTheatre v3.37.2, DVBCore 5.87.05, and using the version of the plugin attached to the first post on this thread.

My OS is Windows Server 2003.

Anyone had the same and managed to fix it? Is there a later version of the plugin?

Thanks!

Its probably related to your 'other plugins'. Disable all of you other plugins except the SageTV one and retry.

PM if you need extra help

It happens with no other plugins installed.

Also noticed in the logs it thinks there is no SageTV favourite... there definitely is.
