A180 Woes

I'm having trouble getting my A180 HDTV card working with Sage BETA 3.0.7. It shows up as a source in the setup screen and I configure it for my local OTA region. However, whenever I try to tune in to a channel, I just get a blank screen. I tried to use WatchHDTV to make sure the card was working, but it crashes as soon as I try to load it. Anyone have any ideas on how I can make sure my card / drivers are working OK and/or get it working in Sage?

Thanks,
Karyl

I'm having the similar issues with my A180 card.

I can only tune 1 channel, PBS, and of this only one sub channel. All other channels result in a black screen.

I noticed similar problems yesterday on a couple of channels.

If I left it on the channel, for what seemed like an eternity, it finally displayed the channel.

I have never been able to tune any subchannels in via Sage.

I am not sure if this is a Sage problem or an EPG problem as the subchannels do not appear in the EPG.

In the channel selection screen, I went through all the channels and finally found one that worked. The channel shows up as WJBKDT 58. It is the same as WJBK, which is channel 2. However, the channel 2 selection doesn't work. Is there maybe something wrong with the channel specifications? At least I know the card works now and it looks nice!

I'm also having similar problems. I can only tune in PBS with Sage. I can tune in all my local channels (about 6) in WatchHDTV and GraphEdit. I can also record and playback all local digital problems using the "Got All Media" trial. Sage only shows a couple of the local channels in the TV Guide and if I try to record anything other than PBS I get a black screen.

I as well have the AverMedia A180 as well as a PVR-250 running 3.0.7 beta and can only tune to PBS (Dallas). Any of the other digital channels, SageTv will either generate an exception or else exit entirely.

WJBK-DT is on RF channel 58, the analog counterpart, WJBK, is on RF 2. What complicates the issue is digital stations can rename themselves so that WJBK-DT on RF 58 will appear on your STB as 2.:

I don't have an A180, but did notice something over on the AVS Foroum that indicates multi A180 is now available. I went to the link (sorry, don't have it) and it is there on the AverMedia site.
