End of Playback, File handling

Am I missing something? When I play back a manual recording it gives me a prompt at the end of the file asking me if I want to delete/archive/do nothing to the file I just played. When you play back a normal favorites recording, it just dumps you back to the recordings window with out the prompt. I submitted a bug report about this for 3.05 but I am wondering if it is just me, or if this is normal. I read through the properties file last night but couldn't find anything.

If it is normal why? I regularly defragment my drives so I like to keep the maximum disk space available. Thus, I don't use intelligent recording and I don't like to see lots of extra stuff on my drive that has already been watched. Going back and deleting these files manually is a pain.

Its normal. IIRC, favorites that are set to auto-delete do not prompt, but favorites that are set not to delete do give you a pop-up

I would also like to see the prompt at the end of every playback. I like the fact that after deleting, it puts me back in to the recordings list. Nielm multifunction stop import is good too, unfortunately it dumps you back to the main menu.

Yeah, IMHO, the best option I've seen is what is in Cayars. When you either reach the end or stop any recording, it prompts you to ask what you want to do. The options are:

Delete, watched, like
Delete, watched, not like
Delete, not watched, like
Delete, not watched, not like
Cancel

I really miss that functionality...

So if I go into my favorites manager and set each favorite to not auto delete, then I will get a prompt at the end of playback?

Gee, thats easy, only 137 favorites to change

I guess maybe we are stuck until Cayars is feeling better.

BTW: See this post; the EOP deletion question will be optional and it will also be possible to enable it for all recordings (not just those not auto-deletable) in some future beta version.

As Andy promised, I noticed that you can now enable end of file prompts for file handling on all recordings in 3.13, & maybe earlier versions, I didn't check. Now to revert all of my favorites to auto delete.

BTW, I havn't seen the pvr 350 EOF problem on 3.13 yet. But I am in the habit to not let a show end, so maybe its my imagination. Things are looking up.
