Strange problem with networked media folders

I'm having a problem I have been trying to figure out for a long while now. On my sage machine I would like to have a couple netwroked folder as import and record folders. I have used this in the past and there was no issues at all.

Now however, pretty much since installing the beta, I am not able to view the contents of these folders. Even with Sage not running at all, browsing them as unc paths or netwroked drives, there is nothing in them. I have proper permissions and security setting, have check that a million times. All other folders on these shared network drives do not have any issues. It's only my media folders that I've tried to use with sage. I've got through my machine from top to bottom and have found nothing wrong.

These folder view from another computer on my netwrok perfectly. It's only my Sage machine experiencing the problem.

I'm lost now... any pointers?
