importing recording from previous installation after format?
I just finished reformating my HTPC, and installing the latest version of sageTV 2.2.8 and cayar's 18 STV.
Before I formated, I backed up my TV recordings, so I wouldn't lose them. Now, I tried to put them back, C:\documents and settings\user\my documents\my videos\sagetv\ sagetv does not show them under "TV Recordings". Cayars has an option to "Refresh Media Libraries" and this doesn't help any either. Previously, I had SageTV 2.1 and Cayars 17 installed. How can I get SageTV to show these recordings? edit: I also backed up my SageTV folder under Program Files, if there's some kind of log I have to copy over..? You'll have to use your old wiz.bin, make sure the recordings are in a video recording dir, and since it sounds like you reinstalled Windows, you should set the property make_all_mediafiles_local=true before restarting SageTV. That might make the old recordings available in the SageTV Recordings list again.
