screen tearing
Is there any way to get rid of the screen tearing in 3d Accelerated mode? I prefer to watch the TV that way, but apparently the screen updates don't match the screen refresh rate, and it causes tearing. I didn't see an option to 'sync refresh'.

A little information about the hardware and settings your using would be helpful. What kind of video card are you using? Cpu & Ram? VMR9 or Overlay? Resolution? Type of display used? Decoder?
Most likely your hardware isn't capable of keeping up with the settings you're using. If people know your setup they can probably offer some good advice. |

lol - I doubt that it can't keep up with the settings I am using... here's my system specs:
Video Card: ATI Radeon 850 XL Platinum Edition (256mb) CPU: AMD Athlon 4000+ Ram: 2Gig DDR-400 Settings: VMR9 Resolution: 1152x864 Type of Display: CRT Decoder: Sage TV MPEG Decoder As you can see, I have a fast enough computer, which is quite capable of handling the load. Also, setting the aspect ratio mode to "Source" or "Fill" causes the video to jerk once a second to the left or right. |

You can have all the CPU power and ram you can possibly get, but some video cards will still choke on VMR9 (especially nvidia cards). Which is why, with the very limited information you provided, I mentioned it as a likely possibility.
Personally I've never had any luck with the Sage Decoders. You might try the trial version of the nvidia decoders. |
