How to add in recording

I have some TV recording that I recorded using another PVR software, before decided on SageTV. How can I add them in so that SageTV can see them.

I put them into the import library, but you forget the're there.

Thanks,
Tenspeed

there is no easy way to do this.

If the sagetv database was open of course, you could just edit it yourself.

Actually there probably is a way, but its way more work than you want to do I'm sure -- I'll pontificate and let you decide.

I know that neilm's webserver has an edit show facility (I havent used it, but I use the webserver). The documentation I read suggests that the show becomes an archive, but I dont know if this is actually current info, but it works either way. Basically if you took a "dummy" show entry, and replaced all the info and pointed it to your show that would probably work.

If it DOES put it in a sage archive, just use the new feature to show archives (as opposed to imports) in your recordings area and you're done.

Unfortunately I think you have stumbled upon one of the very weak areas in SageTV.

Anyways, for what it's worth.
