Firewire STB crashes Sage

I'm a SageTV newbie, but I was following the pdf guide to installing sagetv and the moto 6200 via firewire. I got most everything working, 6200 drivers installed, channel change over firewire works, I can record video with grapheditor. But, when I open sage and hit the livetv and try to watch something, it changes the channel on the STB, goes black and sage becomes unresponsive and I can't shut it down without the task manager. I think its a problem with either my SGraphRecorder preferences or my sage.preferences file. I posted them on a geocities page:

Sgraph.ini: http://www.geocities.com/jj80513/sgraph.html
sage.preferences: http://www.geocities.com/jj80513/sage.html

If someone would please look and see if you might be able to tell what's wrong with my install, I would be incredably appreciative.

I'd post system specs, but I'm not sure what would be useful. I'm using one system (not a recorder and client) so everything is on the local machine.

Anyway, system specs that may be useful:
WinXP sp2
SageTV 2.2.8
AMD Athlon64 3000+
nForce4 motherboard
geForce 6600
SB Audigy
1GB RAM

Anything else I'd gladly post.

Thanks again

Try setting your mpeg mode from default to A. That fixed a lot of my problems. Granted i'm on the 3.0.7 beta, but it may work for you.

This will happen if you try to watch a channel that is 5C encrypted.
This will also happen if you are using some codecs that can't deal with the HD stream. (either its MPEG or AC3 audio)

There is a newer version of SGraphEdit out a week or two ago (late August) that helps with some of this.
