standby with sageTv

I wanted to see if sage will wake up and record like the manual says, so I manually recorded something that was supposed to start in 10 minutes then put my computer in standby. It never started up to record it. Did I do something wrong?

Actually I have this exact same setup and I don't have any programs or addons installed. I set windows power management to go onto standby after 15 mins. When its recording it will stay on and record until its done and then it will go into standby 15 mins later. If it needs to record something at 8PM it will automatically wake up at about 7:55 and record when it comes on. If nothing is recording and I want to watch something all I have to do is move the mouse and it wakes up. After I am done watching make sure you press Stop and then leave it on, I don't tell sage to go into sleep mode or anything like that and 15 mins later it will go into standby.

If you actually put the computer into standby manually then it wont wake up for recordings, but if you let sage turn the computer off then it will wake itself to record.

After I installed the beta sage 3.0 I read the manual and it said that Sage works with standby so I figured I didn't need to run that program.

well I set SageTv screen saver to go on after 5 minutes and my computer to go into standby after 10 minutes. I set it to record something within the next 30 min and it worked.

Hey guys - I am kind of new to Sage. I have 3.0.11 I believe. My HTPC used to go into standby without issue, but wouldn't wake up with any of the "power" functions I programmed into the remote (harmony 680) via the USB-UIRT. I changed the bios settings to allow PCI devices to wake the machine, I figured that should work since USB is on the PCI bus right? Well now it won't go into standby cause I get a windows error saying the device driver for device "USB-UIRT" won't let the box go into standby.

Any clue on what I doing wrong here? Everyone I know keeps their HTPC on all the time but mine was going to standby and waking up to record brilliantly, I just couldn't wake it without hitting the USB keyboard. Now it won't go to sleep.

Set it back the way it was and wake with the keyboard. When you do you won't be able to wake it with the remote because there is no power to the usb-urit when the PC sleeps.

Or on the usb-uirt in device manager uncheck the allow this device to wake up your PC or whatever it says.
