HD shows on Standard TV?

I don't have a High Def. card so I have no way to test this...but what happens if something is recorded in HD, and then sage tries to display it on a regular tv? Does sage downgrade the video?

Thanks!

That 'mostly' depends on your graphics card. For instance, my XGI knows that I have a TV (S-Def) connected, so the TV out automatically scales the picture to fit the resolution of the TV (output device).

Yes, the picture is scaled. This is not the case if you are using an MVP,Xcard, or 350 Output, as those are hardware decoders limited to SDTV.

The picture does look really good tough Since it's such great source material.

And it's not Sage that does anything really, your video card scales all video to your specified output resolution. For me that's 720x480, hopefully it'll be higher soon when I get that HDTV.

Which XGI card are you using? How well does it work with VMR9? How stable, etc etc
