UI-Response very slow in 3.xx

I don't know if I am the only one who has problems with SageTV 3.xx responding very slow to any command.

Since I upgraded to a version above 2.8 the UI is way slower than before. After every keypress I see the SageTV logo turning for seconds in the middle of my screen.

I had to switch back to 2.8 to get acceptable response times again.

I haven't changed anything in my setup, so I think that just the switch of versions does it...

...am I doing something wrong? can anybody help?

P.S. I still use an older java version (1.4 I think) because I had had some problems with the newest one and SageTV 2.xx. Could that be it?

My UI response isn't as slow as that, but it's definitely slower than 2.2.8. I'm just hoping it's optimized by the time they call it "final".

Could be. Only one way to find out.

I noticed that too, v3.x.x seems to be slower than v2.2.8. I used a HTPC based on an Via Eden C3 running at 600 MHz. That was pretty borderline and sometimes it took a second until Sage v2.2.8 responded but it was still quite usable. After updating to v3.0.7 it was just too slow and no longer usable. Since I wanted to check out HDTV anyway I upgraded my computer (I basically built a whole new system). So, yes, I noticed also that v3.x.x requires more computer power than older versions.

It's painfully slow in 3.0.11b when browsing media libraries.
