Sage 2.8 Not Recording Favorite
This has gotten very annoying. Not so much because I like The Berenstain Bears, but because my 4 year old is very disappointed. See, I have this show set as a favorite -- right at the top of the list, but it never records. There is no other recording going on within hours of this. The show appears in my favorites list and is marked such in the EPG. When looking at the upcoming recordings, it does not appear, and fails to record. All other favories seem to be working just fine.
I have tried removing the favorite, rebooting, then adding it back in. It didn't change anything. Please--help me restore my son's faith in technology.

The first thing to do would be to check to see if your situation matches any of the reasons mentioned in the 2nd half of this FAQ.

Try removing the favorite and re-adding it.
I had the same thing happen to me with one of my favorites. I believe that I had manually told Sage to record something that was on my favorites list (but past the 3 days that Sage schedules the recordings.) I then removed the manual recording from the schedule. From then on, Sage would no longer record that show at all, even though it was set as a favorite. Simply removing the show from favorites, and readding it solved the problem.

It turned out to be that many of the episodes had already been recorded and placed in the archive. Not everything is explained by this since there were some broadcasts that I didn't have on file that never recorded. But removing the oldest episodes and re-creating the favorite did the job. Thanks gang.
