Svideo Too Bright

When I hook my Sat receiver to any of my PVR cards (250,350 or 500) through SVIDEO the pic quality is great. Nice colors and everything but if for example they show a computer screen or anything with a white background it gets totally washed out. You can't read the screen or sometimes it flickers. But if I hook up the receiver through the comp. (yellow imput) the white is fine, but the pic quality isn't too great.
Anyone else have this, maybe its my receivers svideo that sucks but my bro has the same problem on his set up with the same receiver.
I've downloaded some Hauppage tweak tool but before I use it I wanna see if any one else has had or fixed it.

Thanks

Happenening to me too, has been since I started using Sage. I tried the tweak tool and couldn't get it to make a difference.

From the attachments it seems that you have the default colour settings. The contrast is too high. I had the same problem when I first started.

There is a link somewhere on how to calibrate your SageTV setup.....

I have mine set as follows

brightness : 108
contrast: 113

and the picture is just great.

But you should really calbrate the display, windows settings and capture settings in this order to get the best.

What are you color settings in Sage? Did you ever try calibrating it?
