SageTV Freezing Up. HELP!!!!
I just built a new system in a Silverstone LC11M box.
System spec is: K8M8MS Socket 754 motherboard AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 512Mb ram Hauppauge 150MCE pvr card nVidia GeForce 5500 video card 200Gb 7200 ATA drive DVD +-R/RW drive StreamZap remote USB UIRT SageTV v2.2.8 nVida DVD decoder V1.00.76 Ok, now to the meat of the problem. I have the system all setup, working with my Cable box. I can get the TV listings and everything, BUT... Once I change to a live TV show, the system switches the cablebox fine and the show starts to play, BUT... after about 3-5 minutes either the playback display freezes or goes completely blank. I can still see disk activity, but the UI to Sage is basically hung. Also, sometimes I am still hearing audio, so it appears to be related to the video. BTW, this is NOT my first SageTV system so I'm not a newbie to this. Anyone have any answers or even rambling thoughts? TIA Kerry

I've not used the viper card but I looked at the spec and it seems to have onboard vga. Go into the bios and disable it
I had the same problem with an Asus P4S800 and an Nvidia video card |
