More win.bin corruption and other issues.
Gents,
I've started having serious problems with both favorties and scheduling again, and I now think it might have something to do with Sunday nights. Several of the shows in my favorites air new episodes on Sunday, and the ones on HBO (Sex in the City, Wire, Project Geenlight) not only continuie to air all week, but air on 10 different channels, giving the scheduler soo many options I think it just goes crazy? When I looked at Sage this morning, I noticed that my Recording Schedule is once again empty, that Sage missed several shows late Friday night and early Saturday morning, and Sage is again using 100% CPU during startup for several minutes. I'm having another serious problem, and I don't know if its related. Sage continues to simply dump me back into the Sage guide while watching live TV. When I attempt to return to the channel, I get a blank screen. These two problems have effectively made it impossible for me to watch TV, and Sage completely useless. Will there be fixes to the next beta or release that address these issues? |

Make sure you send your logs, problem descripton(you could send a link to your post) and maybe wiz.bin to support. I think Jeff or Dan said the next release is coming out this week. So if you want a fix in it, I'd send them the files ASAP if you haven't already.
Best of luck. |

You might try setting disable_phase1_optimization=false in sage.properties. That does the trick for me.

1.4.8 RC1 comes out today. The scheduling algorithms were reworked and should resolve all of the problems relating to them.
FYI - The disable_phase1_optimization flag will no longer have an effect, that code is no longer used. All issues related to "Sage prompting about changing the channel in multi-tuner scenarios when it should have known better and changed the recording to another tuner" are also fixed. And there are no reported Wiz.bin corruption issues since the release of 1.4.7 (but there were some reported scheduling issues, all of which are fixed by the new scheduling algorithms in 1.4.8)
