HELP!! SageTV doesn't work on my machine!

I will try to be brief, though this issue has consumed an enormous amount of time over the past 24hrs... approximately half of that time to be exact.

I puchased the bundled Hauppauge 500 Twin Tuner card bundled with SageTV and the Streamzap Remote from Sage. I added the Client software, as I intend to use Sage over a network.

The initial install went fairly smoothly.. and I had Sage and Client up and running.

When I restarted my computer and tried to run SageTV, all I got was a black screen.

I restarted again to no avail and finally reinstalled Sage which temporarily fixed the problem, however, when I restarted, it crapped-out again.

I am absolutely out of answers as to why this is happening. I sent a message to Sage, but if anyone here can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

To answer the questions about my system...
Windows XP SP2
Asus Motherboard
2GB Corsair RAM
(2) Nvidia 6800GT PCI Express 128MB Video Cards
RAID 0: 80GB (plenty free)
Hauppauge 500 twin tuner PCI card
Athlon 64 3500+ Processor

Fixes I have tried to no avail:
Turn SLI off and run single video cards
Update DirectX
Update Java
Update Bios
Update Video Card Drivers
Disable video hardware acceleration
Disable virus protection (not that I thought it would help)

I would really appreciate help... I am getting ready to nuke Sage and go with a different app, but I don't want to.

My computer is far more than capable of running this program and the tuner card is working fine and doesn't appear to be related to the problem(s) that I am having.

Thanks

-Todd

Check this line in your properties file and see if it's set to true:
ui/accelerated_rendering=false

First of all, yes, that property is set to true.

I actually downloaded the Version 3 Beta and it seems to be working properly... at least for now.

Should I change that property setting, in light of the fact that all appears in order?

Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't. I'm a believer in "if it works don't fix it!" Except of course when I play with Sage to tweak it, not to fix anything, but to see what will happen...
