Intelligent Recording and Favorites
Do you have to enable IR, in order to have Favorites get recorded? I think the answer is no, but I wanted to be sure.
I am hoping I can just mark certain shows as fav's and then just let it record them, without having to use IR. I am not ready for that yet  one step at a time ... Thanks

IR and Favorites are two separate features, so no, you don't have to have IR enabled to use Favs. You might want to chekc out the fav & IR sections of the Getting started part ofthe v4 manual -- see around p. 22 & on for an overview of favs & IR.
