Audio dropout when rec in 720p

I am in Chicago, and my FOX (CH WFLDDT 31) recordings seem to lose a tick of audio every couple seconds using the Aver A180 card (rendering these shows nearly unwatchable). I can watch the same show on the AverMedia software with no problems... this does not occur if the show is not HD (i.e. the news or the Simpsons, etc.)

Also, the PQ through the included software seems to be much better, any idea why? Is there a specific set of decoders being used for the HD content or any setup I can do to improve PQ in Sage.

Has anyone else seen this?

Can you play a recorded .ts file in any other media player?

I am new to the HD scene using Sage, but am liking it so far...

On further review, recording anything on Fox results in the audio dropout. WGN-DT has no audio, and I get intermittent freezing and stuttering on most channels...

With my Samsung SIR-T160 STB, I had no reception issues. Is there anything I can do to improve things with the A180 card in Sage? It seems to function better (with better picture quality) within the AverMedia included software...
