"Padding" did not apply to Favorite

I have NBA Basketball as a Favorite with 45 Minutes padding added to the end of it, and it has been working well. But Tonight, it did not do it to one game.

On channel 64, the schedule is:

1. Thur 5:00pm - 7:30pm NBA Basketball, Spurs vs. Mavs.
2. Thur 7:30pm - 10:00pm NBA Basketball. Lakers vs. Utah.
3. Fri 1:30am - 4:00am NBA Basketball. Lakers vs. Utah. (re-air)

The third game is a re-airing of the second one, and SageTV decided to record the later showing. That was fine with me. But I was watching the first game, and it ended at exactly 2 hours and half, the 45 minutes padding wasn't added. Since SageTV skipped the next game because it decided to record the later re-aired one, I missed the ending of the first game. Whats going on here, why didn't it record the 45 minutes padding for the first game?

So if I change it to FALSE, this will mean that everytime there's a back to back favorite, it will record the first show with the padding using one tuner PLUS the next show on a separate tuner. This would fix the problem but I think I'll get more conflicts problems because it unnecessarily taking up an extra tuner.

Ideally I like to leave setting at TRUE. If you have two consecutive shows that are marked back to back favorites, but the second is NOT being recorded, instead will be recorded at a later airing as in my first post example, then SageTV should be smart enough to apply the padding rule to the first show, knowing that the second one is not being recorded.

Yes, did the same thing to me on a football game, I don't recall this happening with V2 of Sage. It sounds like a bug to me. I would think the whole intent of the back_to_back option would be to ensure you do not have two tuners recording the same channel at the same time.

I now manually record all my sports shows.
