EXETunerPlugin, Sage 4 and network encoder

The EXETunerPlugin seems to be made for Sage 1.4 so the installation instructions isn't up to date.

I copied EXETunerPlugin.dll to C:\Program Files\SageTV\Common (Readme.txt says Program Files\Frey Technologies\Common but my guess is that Sage 4 changed installation folder).

I executed GirderDSSTUNE.reg which makes a "command" string value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sage\EXETunerPlugin. All other registry settings for Sage 4 can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Frey Technologies but I guess the EXETunerPlugin.dll is hard coded to read from SOFTWARE\Sage...?

Now the video source needs to be configured to use the plugin which by the way isn't mensioned at all in the Readme. When adding my network encoder source I choose Composite as input but on the tuning option screen the option to choose External receiver to tune isn't avalible. The button says "Use External Cable or Satellite receiver to tune channel. (To configure infrared or serial tuning control, use SageRecorder that is controlling this Network Encoder)".
I don't have a SageRecorder controlling the Network Encoder. I'm using MyTheatre as Network Encoder (MyTheatre DVB Network Encoder Plugin)

Is there a way to make Sage 4 use the EXETunerPlugin on a network encoder?
