hs_err files?

After a recent power outage, I'm getting random SageTV crashes (idle, once per day).. Can't figure out what is causing them, but I'm getting files starting with hs_err in the Sage directory - here is a dump of one of the files. Any ideas?

By the looks of it your Java installation is damaged. I would uninstall Java, delete the Java directory and reinstall Java.

Can I do this without affecting Sage? (eg, close sage and do the dirty work, then when done start it up with (hopefully) no problems)

Yes - for updating/changing your java installation, that would be what you would do.

The only thing it might affect is if you had installed some customizations in the java directories at some point.
