Question PMS/Sweetspot Component Input?

I finally got around to installing the latest SAGE when my shiney-new ATI 550 based Elite Pro showed up. Hooked it up to my Cable STB via s-video. Boy, what a disappointment Quality set to highest, DVD standard. My old Asus Bluebird card had a bit more noise, but the picture was nowhere near as soft!! On a hunch, I tried out my PMS PDI-Deluxe card using software encoding and OH BOY What a GREAT PICTURE !!!!

Only problem now is aspect ratio.... I'm sure this could be solved if I could feed the component inputs (set to 480i max) from the cable box to the component in's on the PMS card (I tried it in dscaler and it works great - picture quality is even better!). But the SAGE setup on the PMS card does not seem to allow choosing the component inputs... can this be worked around????

Okay, I found that by mucking with the sage.properties file, I could get the source input type to say "unknown", and if I set the video crossbar to use the component input in Graphedit before running Sage, it works !!! Is there a way to set up a special graph for the input device?
