KISS DP-600

Haven't seen any comment on this:

OK, so it's missing a DVI output; but that's about it! Otherwise, surely the perfect extender? And it interfaces to MCE, so could a Sage GUI and connection be possible?

Hope so...

I don't see anywhere that it says it 'interfaces to MCE'... I would buy one right now if it would do that.

Only difference from this one and their older HD player (and other companies like Buffalo LinkTheater) is that is uses a newer chip so can play back Nero digital.

It would make a good extender though, no argument there.

This is not an MCE extender, it is just another network media player that can stream files from an MCE system. The only HD Extender available for MCE right now is the Xbox 360 - and I doubt that'll be easily modded to suit SageTV.

The fact that it'll play divx-hd files on a dvd has me sold... buying one as soon as they are out.

Yeah, but doesn't the Buffalo LinkTheater do that NOW?

I've played Divx-hd through it a number of times, just can't remember if I tried it from a DVD though...
