Let's not be rude

As someone who has been using this setup for a year, I am merely offering my personal experience. It is these types of posts that users who are sitting on the fence want to read.

So you have no problems....yet I do (as have others), thus illustrating the point that a game wirelesss setup is not 100% reliable.

I truly believe the wireless problem we are having has to do with the original MVP itself.

I can sit in the SAME room as my wireless MVP with a Wireless Laptop running SageClient and my SageClient performs FLAWLESSLY.

I am glad to hear there is a wireless MVP.. it will probably fix the problems alot of us have had with the original MVP and wireless hardware.

Apparantly there is enough good experiences with a wireless setup that Hauppauge decided to put the effort into making a wireless version of the MVP. If it were "Totally unreliable" as you state, why would have they bothered?

cmaffia, sounds like a wireless adapter problem connected to your MVP. And that two router wireless bridge trick might be the solution. But agree, nothing beats wired connections. I have Cat5's running all over my house plus wireless "b" but thats mostly too slow and unreliable for streaming videos. I'm skipping wireless "G" and just wait for "N" to become availalble. And if "N" is anywhere near half gigabit speed, it might be the end of wired connections.

Btw, does this two router wirless bridge trick work on other wireless routers also or just the Linksys WRT54G with updated firmware?

Wireless MVP

I just went to Hauppauge website.
I don't see anything about a wireless MVP?
Is it out or coming out. I always speculated that the next MVP would have more outputs and a wireless feature but I can't seem to find any info on their website
