Bingo !!!!! - Stuttering problem also solved!!

MrApollinax

You have just solved my stuttering problem as well!!

I must say that I am entirely blown away with your ability to get to the root causes and get things fixed.

What a great little product this is, once it starts working correctly.

Thank you very much again. Your guidance has been absolutely superb.

Larry

I have a new one lying around here, let me flash it back to the Linksys firmware and look at the settings. I'm using sveasoft firmware on mine, so the settings are different. As long as your firmware has settings for "WDS", it's not hard. Out of curiousity, how are your 2 routers setup right now?

Right now I only have one running connected to my cable modem which is downstairs. All of the computers are using a wireless connection. Upstairs, my server is connected to my MVP through a wired router because I cant figure out how to use the wireless router to act as a bridge to the other router downstairs.

Jason, I can't seem to downgrade back to the stock linksys firmware. Can you check on yours to see if there is an option somewhere called WDS ?

Yes, it does. It stands for "Wireless Distribution System". Basically you can use it for several things like having multiple access points so you can roam with a laptop over a larger area or using a 2nd access point as a wireless repeater. What I am using it for is the 2nd router uses WDS to create a wireless bridge to my main router. The MVP communicates through this bridge. The stock linksys firmware may not support this. IF you want, go to www.sveasoft.com and read up on the Talisman firmware. But beware, it requires flashing your router with a Firmware written by Sveasoft. It has many more options, but it requires a little work. Let me know what you think.
