Focus Problems

I have used Sage TV for about two weeks. My setup is a PIII 933 MHZ CPU, 256 MB, onboard video a PVR 350. I am using the TV out function of the PVR 350 and running Sage TV in the service mode on Windows XP Pro. Everything has worked the way I think it should. The other day I installed ShowAnalyzer and DirMon and the ComSkip STV to remove commercials and this is working OK.

I use this PC only for PVR it does not do anything else. For some reason after I installed Showanalyzer Dirmon and ComSkip the Sage TV software will loose focus. I have noticed when ShowAnalyzer starts the Sage TV UI does not have focus so the remote will not work. I click the mouse back on the Sage TV UI and everything is OK.

I have read on this forum about focus problems but I am having a hard time understanding how to make Sage TV have focus all the time. Please tell me is there a way to make Sage TV have focus at all times so when I press the button on my remote I will see a result on my TV screen.

Thanks.

If showanalyzer or dirmon is taking focus, check the threads for those utilities.

If you want to be able to control SageTV w/the Hauppauge remote regardless of whether SageTV has focus, see post #15 of Hauppauge link #3 in my sig lines. BTW: If you are usaing the 350's TV out for everything on the TV, you can put SageTV to sleep in the System Tray & not even worry about having the SageTV window open on the desktop.

Thanks
That's what I needed.

I really do like Sage TV software and will let everyone I know how well it works. With and old PIII motherboard and a PVR 350 and Sage TV software you can have yourself a working PVR that's evry bit as good as Tivo.
