Hi i have a question i need to record 24/7 a channel but i would like to break the file by the hour do i need to setup a day hour by hour and then select daily?? or i can select a simpler way?

Do you have EPG data for that channel? You could just leave it playing live TV & it will break the recordings into 1 file per show. If you do this, you should go to Detailed Setup -> Cusomtize & turn off the option to delete live tv files when not using intelligent recording.

I would think creating 24 timed recordings set to repeat daily.

I could, but I would need to be able to control the files afterwards, since I need to rename and copy the files after they are recorded. Any idea on hot do acomplish that?
