Do you have EPG data for that channel? You could just leave it playing live TV & it will break the recordings into 1 file per show. If you do this, you should go to Detailed Setup -> Cusomtize & turn off the option to delete live tv files when not using intelligent recording.

Hi, did you figure out what to do with this? I'm also interested in the same setup, but have failed to get SageTV to do this for me so far.

Opus: Why do you suggest EPG recording when he surely asks for 1 hour brake in a 24/7 schedule recording?

I would think creating 24 timed recordings set to repeat daily.

I could, but I would need to be able to control the files afterwards, since I need to rename and copy the files after they are recorded. Any idea on hot do acomplish that?

Because by what Opus is suggesting, leaving play on Live TV (not create a specific recording for it) will cause Sage to continue recording that channel to the hard drive and breaking it out every hour (or whatever length the program is shown to have in the EPG.)But that's why it is also important to go to Detailed Setup -> Cusomtize & turn off the option to delete live tv files when not using intelligent recording. This will make sure the recordings remain.
