Please help..corrupted MPEG recording?
I set Sage up to record the frisy night usual...SG-1, Battlestar Galactica, and then SG Atlantis. The SG-1 recording seems to be fine. The BG file takes forever to open and the SG Atlantis file, while 2.4 Gigs in size, when opened in Sage or Win Media player is 26 seconds long.
Since the file is 2.6 Gigs in size, it has to be more than 26 seconds doesn't it? Is there anyway to repair it? I would really prefer not to wait for the rerun... Any ideas what could have gone wrong? SageTV 4.1.4, default decoders, Nielm's somskip plug in with SA and DirMon (SA by the way reached frame 102552) |

Hi,
I've been seeing the same thing ... MPEG files that seem to be corrupt. What I've seen is that I'm able to play them back on another PC (not the same PC). If you have one, can you try that and see if it works ? I've posted the same in another thread ... I've seen this happen only when I went from 4.0.1 to 4.1.4 not before. When I view these MPG's on the other PC I can see "block" distortions. On my SageTV .. it doesn't play short, but either plays in FF (without sound) or hangs SageTV with 100% depending on which MPEG video decoder I select. Home someone can help is. Basset |
