Sage Service = Choppy video???

I recently installed sagetv on my main computer. Its an Athlon XP 2700+, with 512meg ram, Plenty of HD space and a PVR250. VMR9, dvxa default, deinterlace default 3d acceleration on. Nvidia decoders. 6600GT 128mb AGP video

Runs real smooth in regular sage mode.

When I set sage to run in service mode and then try to use Sage on the same machine it becomes very choppy.. IS this a speed issue of my processor or is it a ram problem, and I just don't have enough. I was curious if anyone else ran into this.

Thanks,
Jeff
