Question Avermedia A180 and sound levels...

I have 3 x Hauppauge PVR-250's and 1 Avermedia A180. I have noticed that the sound levels on digital capture from the A180 are much lower than recordings from the 250's. This causes me to turn the volume up when watching digital recordings in Sage and then of course the TV is *way* too loud when switching to watching an analog recording. This causes my spousal unit much distress (and therefore me...).

I didn't see any Sage property that adjusted sound levels on a per-card basis. Is there any capture sound level adjustment that can be done on the A180 driver or some property that can help me make these capture sources more alike?

Thanks,
Kevin

I had a similar problem, I've got a PVR-150 and an A180.

Couldn't find a way to adjust the A180, but found a website (http://www.cask-of-amontillado.com/pvr_reg.html) that gives registry settings for changing the recording volume on the PVR-150. That site has info for the 250 also.

But it sure would be nice to be able to change this within Sage!

Edit: thought about this a little more, I think since the A180 just passes along the MPEG stream exactly as broadcasted, there may be no way to adjust its volume?

I have the same problem with the A180 audio.
The sound level is very low, resulting also in poor quality.
Anybody found a solution to adjust the audio level?

I changed my audio decoder to Sonic decoders and it works much better.

Can you select one decoder for one card, and another decoder for another card?

Not that I am aware of. Although, I have not tried looking into it. I am not doing anything fancy with the audio though it just plays out through the Pioneer PRO710HD set that I have. The sound levels are the same on all channels.
