SageTV Recording NOT showing Movies on Disk

Ok. I told SageTV so save movies to my D:\SagetV folder. I see lots of recorded movies there, BUT SageTV only shows a fraction of them like 8 while I have some 20 movies in that folder.

Yes, SageTC setup points to the correct directory.

This can happen if they are incomplete recordings of live tv shows you watched, you have a filter set on the SageTV Recordings menu that prevents displaying certain types of shows (p. 34 in the v4.1 manual), you deleted wiz.bin after a few recordings were made & thus the old ones are no longer in the databse, or perhaps a couple reasons I'm not thinking of at the moment.

You can check the Imported Videos menu to see if they were imported instead.

Hey Opus,

I had a disk problem yesterday and after I resolved it. I found many of my recordings were moved to the imported videos library (even tho the recordings directory is different than the imported videos library directory). Is there a way to get these recordings listed where they originally were??

I assume you mean that the files were where they were originally, but that SageTV just shows them as imported videos... that sounds to me like there was a problem w/wiz.bin or you replaced it w/an older wiz.bin after the disk errors. In short: no, if they are not recognized as shows in the wiz.bin databsse, there is no way to get them back in the SageTV Recordings list... unless you have the more recent wiz.bin that you can use.

Thanks Andy - That was it - I had the filter on. Took it off, shows now show up.

Thanks.

Thanks Andy... It appears wiz.bin got damaged. I lost a lot of shows but fortunately they are ones that keep getting shown.
