Thinking about getting Linux OEM

I am seriously looking at getting this because all my computers run Linux and suprisingly enough they are all running Gentoo . So i have a few questions:

0) Do I have to install Gentoo, or does the CD do it for me?
1) What kernel is this running on?
2) Can I edit/customize/update the kernel?
3) Can I emerge any programs I want? I still get portage right?
4) Can I use it as a Hauppauge Media Extender server?

If i do get this I definatly want to make it into a kickin server. So i want to be able to emerge my fav FTP, SSH, SAMBA, etc... I also want to make it my homes router, stuff like that. Basically I want to combine my current server computer with my TV box, instead of having 2 different computers. I want to take my current TV box that is running windows and put linux on it, take the weak link out of my network. I just want to make sure that it is running a full version of Gentoo so that I can do all this. I dont want to pay 80 bucks and end up going back to Windows SageTV just because it cant do what I want it to do. So i gotta make sure.

Thanks

I can answer a couple things... the downloaded ISO contains the entire install CD, including the OS. There are a few questions answered in the SageTV Linux FAQ, such as that it can be used as a server for any other client systems, including the MVP extenders.

The FAQ points to the installation instructions... but that page doesn't seem to be loading at the moment. Try again later.

The CD will install a base gentoo system.

Yes, it's a standard kernel. You can use any as long as you can install the right ivtv modules and nvidia modules.
